A Message from the PTSA Co-Presidents
|
Dear Newport Families,
We have some incredible news to celebrate: Newport High School was recently ranked the #1 Best Public High School in Washington by Niche.com. This achievement is a reflection of what makes our school community so special. From our rich variety of advanced courses to the immense number of after-school activities right here on campus, our students have unparalleled opportunities to grow. As parents, having these programs right on campus—without the need to drive our kids to another location—is an immense blessing. However, these programs cannot thrive without us. As you may know, the Bellevue School District is working tirelessly to support our students, but the fact is, their funds have been cut dramatically. While we all want to step up and take an active role in our school community, we also recognize that parents carry so many obligations. We simply cannot be at school volunteering all the time. That is why we are reaching out to ask for your financial support. We are asking each family to make a donation of $200. Your kindness does so much more than fund programs—it strengthens our entire school community and directly impacts our students' lives. Thank you to every family who has already donated! To honor your incredible support, we are so proud to welcome you into the PTSA Honorary Circle. As a heartfelt thank you, we will be reaching out with exclusive invitations to members-only functions. Together, we can make Newport stronger than ever. Be a part of PTSA Honorary Circle by donating $200. Invest in our students’ experience! Very Sincerely, Paul Tsai & Ria Song Newport PTSA Co-Presidents |

Ski Swap Parent Volunteer Signups Open!
|
The Newport Ski Swap is the PTSA’s largest and most vital fundraiser, directly supporting every student, teacher, and department in the school. To pull off an event of this scale, we need hundreds of volunteers—and no ski or snowboard experience is required for most roles! With over 10,000 winter sports items moving through our doors in just a few days, this is truly an “all hands on deck” moment for our school. Please consider signing up for a shift before, during, or after the event.
Important Dates:
Register and sign up for a shift or two or more: Newport Ski Swap Volunteer Registration. Don't forget to check if your company matches for volunteer hours - it's a great way to get more for your time! Please note that the Bellevue School District requires that all adult volunteers complete a background check and renew it every three years.
